This is the first year we have been to the Funk show in a long time. Besides the hotels being extremely expensive, so expensive we stayed in a not so nice location. I understand why people stayed there though. It was close to everything and all the cars would cruise right near your room so you could see all the action without even leaving the balcony. We have 5 rooms and 20 people. We had a good time the show was very similar to OC, just half the size. James was the only one showing inside with the rest of the group outside. Show consisted of James, Tony D, Tony M, Brandon, Dawn, Dan & Lauri, Dan. It was a hot Saturday and a really wet Sunday. We got to see Dan & Lauri’s paint for the first time on the GTI and it looked great. On Sunday it rained so hard for a few hours that the parking lot for the convention center flooded and some cars were ruined. Being the club that we are we took our shoes off and waded through the foot deep water and helped push cars to higher ground. We are the club that cares. Winners consisted of (Inside) James – 1st Place Domestic Truck, (Outside) Dan 2nd Place 4x4, Best Paint, Brandon – 3rd Place Honda.
