Carlisle Custom Compact Nationals
May 2nd - 4th, 2003

This past weekend was the most anticipated weekend and show of the year. We have been waiting for Carlisle since the end of the show season last year. The weekend started off with all of us meeting up and rolling out all together. It was a nice site seeing all of us rolling up 83 together taking up the fast lane. In attendance this year for Vivid was me, Wendy, Mike B., Derrick, Tony M., Jen M., J.J., Tara, Damon, Kristin, Zach, Amanda, Lauri, Josh, Billy E., Dave, J.R., Nicole, & Craig. Showing for V.I. was me, Tara, Craig, Derrick, & Nicole. For everyone who missed it, you missed a great time. Once we got on the road, we had to stop for some food so we decided to take over McDonald’s. There we all ate the place empty. When we got started back up, I caught a light and fell way behind. There was only one way to catch them, Zex time. Already cruising at 100 m.p.h. I still couldn’t see any taillights, I didn’t know what to do, so I called Damon on the Nextel and asked if the seen any cops, he said “no”, so I decided to hit it. When I hit the switch I thought my car was lifting off and was going to go off road. I sped up to 140 m.p.h. in just seconds. Then I finally caught up to them. I didn’t die nor did the car blow up, it may have stunk, but it was fine. We finally got to the hotel and checked in. After a minor check of the engine by Damon, I smoked a pack of cigarettes to calm down and went to my room. We tried to find a liquor store open but unfortunately the stores up there close at 9. So we decided we just get some sleep for the big weekend ahead of us. We got up at 6 am to be there with plenty of time to spare. Once we got there, we checked in and found our places and started setting up. After we were set up, we got together, talked a bit, and split up and everyone went their ways. As the day went on, we met up with each other from time to time, while checking out all the hooked up rides in Carlisle. Some of the cars blew our minds. There were plenty of pictures taken so don’t worry about missing anything. The burnout contest was smoking, the models were hot, & the cars were out of this world. Around 7 or so, we were all sunburned, hot, hungry, & wanted to get drunk. So we decided to call it a day and get on with the night. We all got together back at the hotel and ordered some pizzas and broke open the “Tub of Beers”. We got to bed around 2 or so but didn’t worry because there was no reason to get up early for Sunday, the judging was done and we didn’t have to be in a certain spot. The next morning we hit up Bob Evan’s for breakfast and cleaned house. When we finally got back to Carlisle after eating and checking out, we found out that Tara took 2nd place, way to go!!! We hung out for a few hours, but it was time to say goodbye. So, some of us left every so often, til none were left. On the way home, me, Mike B., Zach, Amanda, & Wendy took a wrong turn and got a bit routed, but we figured it out, & were on our way, the whole way home, we never dropped below 100 m.p.h. When we finally got back to Baltimore, we all went our ways and took home a memorable weekend. Next weekend is Eastern Tech. & Kenwood show, we are going to split them so Vivid is being represented at two shows at one time. So see you all next weekend!!!
