This
past Sunday Vivid Images attended probably one of
the biggest shows, next to Carlisle, in Pa. This show
was called Import War and it was held at the Giant
Center in Hershey, Pa., right next door to Hershey
Park. Showing for Vivid were me, Tara, Craig, Tony,
and Lauri. The weekend started as we all met up Friday
night at Toys R Us and headed out. We finally got
to a hotel / event without getting lost, it was our
first. Usually we get lost or split up somehow. But
once we got to our hotel, the Hilton, we checked in
and got settled. As some went for a swim or relaxed
in the hot tub, I personally felt sick and stayed
in the room. It was a cloudy night with a chance of
rain, but the following day was supposed to be nice.
I am not sure about anybody else, but I know I am
tired of rain. Rain had the Kenwood show cancelled
for a 2nd time. Anyhow, we got up at 6 a.m. on Saturday
knowing there was a big day for us ahead and we wanted
to beat the rush of cars that we knew were getting
there early this morning. The day started out with
nothing but rain. It was cold, cloudy, and raining,
we thought they would have to cancel, but Import War
turned out to be a rain or shine show. The judges
started judging at around 10 a.m. or so in the pouring
rain, this sucked. Our cars were dirty, wet, and not
set up. From that point on, I knew I personally had
no chance. For the most part, I slept in my car, while
others bought ponchos and walked around in the rain
or stayed inside the Giant Center for cover. After
judging, guess what happened, the sun rose up, well
after the good part of the show was rain. The rain
broke up around 2 and the show was only til 4. For
the hell of it, we decided to clean up the cars and
set them up anyway. After the awards we got on our
way home as quick as possible, not wanting to get
stuck behind all the cars trying to get out. Even
though we came home empty handed and it was a nasty
day in the rain, we still managed to have a good time.

Our next show is next Sunday in La Plata. I hope to
