Fire Up Thundr Out Show, La Plata, MD.
Sunday, May 25th, 2003

This past Sunday V.I. kicked ass in La Plata bringing home 6 awards. I took first in Import Wild & first in the Light Show, Jo took first in Import Mild & third in the Light Show in her first show ever, & Tony D. took second in Import Wild, and with the great support from our Pres., Mike B. With all that, Vivid took home our first Club Participation Award. Great job to us!!! The day started as every other show day, raining like hell. It didn’t matter so much because this was an indoor show. After the 2 hour ride in the monsoon, flood warning, foggy, downpour weather, we arrived at the fairgrounds. To get into the building where the show was to be, we had better of had a Jeep or F-350. There was about 3 ft. of mud we had to drive through for about 20ft. to get into the building for the show. After we finally got in we cleaned, & cleaned, & cleaned. I personally ran out of water in my spray bottle, so I unhooked some poor souls water line to their trailor to steal some water. Sorry about that! Hope they weren’t in the shower. After we were set up and clean, we didn’t know what to do, we were bored. Until!!! The models have arrived. As we got some pics of them on the cars, the unbelievable happened. In other shows, the models take pics and leave, well in our case, they stayed. So we talked, and talked, and talked, for about 2 hours until the Bikini contest started. We actually made friends that were professional models, it was great! They told us we had to cheer for them the hardest, so we did, but it wasn’t quite loud enough, so they lost. Sorry about that Ashley & Cindy, we still think you ladies were the best. So, in closing, it was a cold, rainy, but interesting show. We cleaned house and it turned out to be a good show and had a great time. The next show is a big one, O.C. Custom Car Show in Ocean City, I can hardly wait! See you all there!!!
