Motor Trend International Auto Show February 6th – 9th, 2003
Baltimore Convention Center

Motor Trend was a success for Vivid Images. We went from a local car club starting to make progress and growing to one of the most popular car clubs in Maryland. One typical day Motor Trend Magazine just happen to come across our web site in search of a local car club to show their cars at their next show at the Baltimore Convention Center. Because of our already popular web site, thanks to the design staff of Craig Stevenson & our President Mike Baker, they liked what they saw and emailed Mike and I to help them out. From that point on Vivid Images was a nightmare. Everyone hurried to get their cars done in just less than 2 weeks, some people spent hundreds even thousands on their car in no time for Motor Trend. We knew this would be the biggest thing to ever happen to us and we wanted to make our presence known to last. After a vote amongst members to decide what 8 cars of Vivid Images would go, we were set. During roll in there was a little confusion on where to go and how. How you ask? This is how we got up there, a freight elevator & the smallest hallway known to man. One certain someone had an accident trying to drive in double doors that were only 7 ft. wide, how the Lamborghini got in, I will never know. But, anyhow we were in and setting up. While setting up a certain person who we will leave nameless decided to drop a wrench in his engine and shock the living hell out of himself trying to get it out. However by now we were ready to show. During the show we talked to everyone who had questions or comments & handed out over 3,500 flyers. The Vice President of Motor Trend did nothing but compliment us on how we were representing our name. He was very impressed on everyone showing up all 4 days and in uniform. Our President Mike Baker was given a spot on 92 Q to talk to the listening audience to advertise us and the show. It was quite cool. But, as it turns out, all good things must come to an end when Sunday rolled around. It took a few hours to roll out as one car left down the hallway and in the elevator one at a time, but once all out we all decided to hit up Denny’s to celebrate. Motor Trend was a huge success. We were even offered to host the Tuner Salon ourselves next year and have to fill 200 spots and we will be in Motor Trend again on March 14th – 16th in Richmond, Virginia, so come out and see us. This was a great opportunity for Vivid and a great way to start off the new show season.
