This
past Saturday Vivid was represented at Super Tuner
Night in Virgina Beach. The show was what the Car
Show / Club World is all about. From “Out of
this World” cars to the Hottest Models around,
S.T.N. had it all. Although I was the only one who
shown, V.I. was still represented by me, Wendy, Mike
B., Matt, & Tony D. Our journey began as we headed
down to Virgina Beach at 7 p.m. Knowing our trip was
going to be long, we hung in there for the ride. On
our way down we got to see nothing but highway for
5 hrs. The traffic into Virgina to Kings Dominion
was sickening. Though for some it was a good thing.
There seem to be a large amount of hot chics driving
down and stuck in traffic as well. So it was fun for
somebody giving shout outs. When all the traffic finally
dispensed, we were rolling again. Finally at 12:45,
we arrived in Virgina Beach only to find out our hotel
room was given away. After a minor argument we were
placed in a room in the hotel next door only to discover
it was a dump. There were holes in the floor, a tarp
for a shower curtain, no towels, falling wall paper,
no a.c., & 1 bed! Luckily the couch folded out
to a bed, Thank God! The room also was only good for
1 night, so we had to find another hotel for Saturday
night. In the morning we ransacked the continental
breakfast as we usually do on traveling shows and
hit up the car wash. From the car wash we made it
to the Pavilion only to discover they lost my registration.
So far this trip has been a nightmare. After settling
the situation, I got to roll in. As I was setting
up, one of the attendees made me move the position
of my car 5 times, I guess he just couldn’t
make up his mind what he wanted. So when I finally
got set up, we all got together to get some grub at
a seafood buffet since the show didn’t start
for another 3 hours. There we drank about 20 pitchers
of iced tea and ate the buffet empty. After our meal
we went to the new hotel, La Playa. A decent hotel
for now. Thinking of something to do, we went down
to the rides to see what they had. They had nothing.
It was like a low budget local carnival & a $25
per person ride on the SkyScraper. So we decided to
pass. I realized I should get back to the Pavilion,
so the others dropped me off and went out. There I
discovered I missed judging. So I went on a tear to
find a judge to get judged. No way I went all the
way down there not even to get judged. I finally found
one in a crowd of about 20,000 people. It was intense.
Models, Cars, Exhibits, Dance Contests, etc. For all
who missed it, you missed out on a lot. About 11 p.m.
they finally gave out awards. Even though I came back
empty handed, it was an interesting day. Knowing we
had to haul it back the next morning for the Sudden
show, we went back to the hotel for some sleep. Even
after waking up late and getting on the road 1.5 hours
later than I liked to, we made it home for the Sudden
show, which will be in another article. In closing,
I like to thank all who went for support and see you
all in the next one.
