This past Sunday, V.I.P. hosted their 1st Car Show. It turned out great! Everyone learned of the show just the day before at the Patterson H.S. Show and still got there to show off their rides with just a day’s notice. In attendance were us, Sudden Impact, Full F-X, and other Hot Rod Clubs. Showing for V.I. were me, Tara, Liz, Dan, Lauri, and Derrick. Showing support as well were Wendy, Jen, Mike B., J.J., and Liz’s parents and a friend. Again this day had that image of rain going but turned out to be a decent day for a show. Though we were in the spot of the show where it was like being in a swamp with mud and puddles, we made it work for us. After getting set up, we all jumped in the V.I. van of Mike’s dad’s van and hit up the local Pit Beef place for some grub. After eating them out of stock we headed back for the show. The show was full of hot rides and good friends having a great time, even in the Everglades. During the show we handed out plenty of flyers for our own show until we hit up every car and took home a few door prizes as well. In the end, Tara and I took home a Top 20 trophy for a 2nd day in a row! Sudden Impact took the Club Participation award home as well. Next weekend is a big one for us, we have Super Tuner Night in Virgina Beach and Sudden Impact’s show at Bohager’s. I hope to see everyone at both of the shows!
